All eyes on HER in the center of the ring...just like a circus!
Monday night I was fortunate enough (and when I say that I mean literally, the ticket cost me 170 bucks) to catch Britney Spears’ Circus Tour in Boston, MA.
Mind you, I am certainly not the typical Britney fan, but I saw her way back when she toured with NSYNC and jumped at the chance to see her comeback. Throughout her crisis, I have had a special place in my heart for Brit Brit. Think about it, thrown into fame at a young age, something you can never undo. She will always be Britney Spears, and can never hide from that. So my friends and I headed into the city for the show. We arrived to a stage set up like 3 rings of a circus, with a big pussycat dolls sign in the middle. After a minor, yet amazing, set by pcd, a bunch of circus acts headed on stage. For about 20 minutes the audience was entertained by clowns and stunt people. Then…Brit Brit came on stage. For an hour and 40 minutes she performed, only really singing 1 song, or so it seems. She dressed in so many different costumes, sometimes rather scantily clad. She was a police officer for womanizer, and a circus ring leader for circus. There was an opening video featuring the very amazing PEREZ HILTON which was awesome. The entire show featured a huge round screen, which had different videos depending on the song. My favorite was for ‘Piece of Me’ which featured all of the lyrics, this is one of my favorite Britney songs, so I think that’s why I liked it so much. The show was amazing. She brought out some great hits: toxic, piece of me, circus, everytime, baby one more time, slave for you, and many more. Cheers Britney, what a comeback!
